About FNS4NC Coalition

North Carolina food banks

The FNS4NC Coalition is made up of members from the seven North Carolina Feeding America Food Banks.  The mission of the FNS4NC Coalition is to be a leader in the effort to reduce hunger by raising awareness and reducing barriers to Food & Nutrition Services for all people through community outreach, with dignity and respect.

Food banks do important work by partnering with community groups to get food to people who need it.  But, food banks alone cannot meet the needs of the 2.2 million people in North Carolina who don’t always know where their next meal will come from or when their next meal will be.  Letting people know about Food & Nutrition Services is another way food banks can bring more food to families and individuals in need of support.

The FNS4NC Coalition thanks the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the N.C. Division of Social Services, and Feeding America for their support of this effort!
